Andreas Barckow, an accounting professor and president of the Accounting Standards Committee of Germany, was appointed Thursday by the trustees of the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation, as the next chair of the International Accounting Standards Board, succeeding longtime chairman Hans Hoogervorst, starting in July 2021.
